Never give up that dream – client success story with Polly Hernandez

July 24, 2018

Who is Polly Hernandez?

To describe Polly in one word is very tricky, because she is such an incredible woman.

Polly is magnetic, passionate, talented and never afraid to be bold.

From the moment we first connected in late 2017, I could tell Polly was on the verge of a powerful shift in her life.  She jumped in head first and signed up for 1:1 mentoring over 8 sessions.

Some of Polly’s goals going into our work together included: a fully active website that sells products/branding/workshops, a rise in email subscribers, followers on social media channels and medium blog, personally Polly wanted to be surrounded by nature, living in a smaller community, and consistency with routines.

Becoming Brave – A conversation with Katie Dean on courage and giving yourself permission

May 16, 2018
Today I want to introduce you to the fabulous Katie Dean, creator of Your Wild Life and recently published author of Becoming Brave.

This inspiring conversation is perfect for anyone who is looking to take a leap in their life and would love a few words of encouragement from someone who knows. Remember, like all the women I interview – Katie is just like you or I. She is a woman who has experienced her fair share of challenges, but by staying true to her north and digging deep, she found the courage to speak on stages, facilitate workshops and work with numerous women individually. I am honoured to have her as a guest as she speaks openly and candidly about this journey.

Here’s what you’ll learn about in this conversation:

+ What it takes to find the confidence to write and share despite past trauma or toxicity

+ Why is “Permission to rise” such an important message for women now?

+ How do we bravely share a change with others, without having the need to gain their permission?

+ What tools do you use to bring you back to your centre?

+ For someone who openly speaks about dealing with anxiety, how do you speak on stage?

How to turn a NO into your superpower

May 9, 2018

I’ll admit, saying the word “rejection” still conjures up old stuff for me.

…That boy that cheated 13 years ago…that job I did’t get when I was 19…that friend that blacklisted me back when I was 14…that time my mum forgot to pick me up from school when I was five

Rejection is too often linked to past experience, and we can make just one case of rejection (as you can see I’ve got just a few in there) mean so much about ourselves. Then we take that meaning into all our future experiences.

Today, I’d love to flip those feelings of rejection on their head. I want to help you understand that there’s some really rad and positive things that can come from a simple NO.

THIS POST is a must read if you are considering a potential career change, starting or building a side business, start a new hobby, or anyone generally looking to create change and deeper connection in our lives (which is typically all humans).

To help you, I’ve broken this post down into three areas:

What NO means in your business

Using NO to evoke your personal power

How to set yourself up for success + deal with the NO’s

Empowerment and words – choose them wisely!

February 13, 2014
Why “I Don’t” Works Better Than “I Can’t”

Last month I wrote about the power of language and how to say no. This post builds on how your words can help to both empower you and frame your control.

The reason behind this empowering is that the words you choose to use help create a feedback loop in your brain, which can and will impact your future behaviours.

Picture this; every time you tell yourself “I can’t”, this creates a feedback loop in your mind that is a reminder of your limitations. Also, using this terminology indicates that you are forcing yourself to do something you actually do not want to do.
