Some of you might know of Albert Einstein.
There are some similarities between me and old Albert. Like me, he was a multi-passionate guy. You too?
Perhaps you didn’t know this because Einstein was most notable for his groundbreaking scientific theory. This is what we know well, but it’s not the full story.
I’m highly intrigued by what makes the ‘genius’ tick. It often has me reading about people waaay outside my field of work. (Side note: this is usually when the best discoveries happen). So when I started reading about the man with the crazy white hair, I discovered a whole other side to him I never knew.
The guy was extremely multi-passionate.
Einstein was also…
an International peacemaker, a pacifist, an activist
And
A lover of music
He might be well known for his scientific theories, but this work didn’t prevent him from being able to live a full, courageous and meaningful life.
The reason I bring Einstein into the conversation, is that –
I’ve noticed many multi-passionate and creative women are feeling frustrated that they aren’t in a career that ties all their passions together in one neat little package.
Jump on your favourite Instagram profiles and you’ll be wooed by the array of “titles” people have these days.
Don’t get me wrong, we spend half our waking hours a week in a job, so yes, we should make it count.
We want to do work that matters
This my friend is a struggle I know well. I have fallen prey to the indecision and frustration that comes from being multi passionate. But at some point you realise that feeling frustrated isn’t moving you forward.
So today I’m sharing how with a little help from Mr Einstein and a few other friends, how I was able to move from stuck to starting and still incorporate the things I am passionate about in my life and work.
IN THIS VIDEO BLOG YOU WILL LEARN:
