The Little Alchemist is a luxury, artisan skincare range that allows your skin and senses to be delighted with everything from body butters, to natural perfumes & to anti-aging treatments. All of The Little Alchemist range is made with Certified Organic Ingredients, uses recyclable packaging and cruelty-free – music to the ears of A Conscious Beauty.
Not only were we delighted by the thoughtful packaging and the styling of the brand, as soon we popped the lid on the first bottle we knew there was something unique about it that would set it apart. The key to the success of The Little Alchemist, is that it is formulated using high quality ingredients in concentration which “nourish, protect & feed your skin with vital nutrients, vitamins & antioxidants”.
A Conscious Beauty first discovered this magical brand through the gorgeous Cass from Happiness + Wellbeing Magazine after it was featured in the magazine earlier this year. Thanks to Cass we connected with the founder Natalie Van Epen and after being spoilt with a handful of products are excited to bring to you today, part one of our review of the brand.
Papaya Geranium and Lime Cleansing Milk
In the past few years, a cream cleanser has always been a preference for me over a foaming or gel cleanser so I was very excited by this option in the range. The first thing that struck me about any of The LIttle Alchemist products is the more unusual combination of ingredients as well as their potency. These fruity combinations are in fact carefully formulated according to their intended use. Although fruity in scent and something I am often sensitive too, I did not have a reaction. The cleansing milk is gentle and light, and leaves no residue on the skin. The use of pineapple provided an anti-inflammatory effect soothing my sensitive skin. I would recommend this as a daily cleanser and probably suited to someone with sensitive to dry skin.

Wild Apple and Mint Purifying Gel Cleanser
As mentioned above, my preference is generally for a cream cleanser so I was curious to try a gel option. Again the fruity smell is a delight to the senses, and the combination of apple and mint refreshes and soothes the skin. When I prefer a deep cleanse, this would be my go-to. Although the gel is very mild, it was slightly drying for my skin-type. The combination of the Apple, Wheatgrass and Plantain, would make it an ideal option for someone with acne-prone skin.

Wild Apple and Mint Antioxidant Balancing Mist
This delightful mist is the perfect addition to the daily routine, especially as we come into the warmer months. I used this both morning and night and being a light mist, it is perfect for applying under a moisturiser or on top of my foundation. On its own, it evened out my skin tone however, the hydrating effect is light so for my skin-type I still required a moisturiser on top. As with the gel cleanser, the key ingredients of Apple and Bilberry Leaf would make it a perfect option for someone that tends to oily or acne-prone skin.
