It’s Saturday night and you are looking for luscious locks without drowning your gorgeous hair in a tonne of chemicals?
Look no further than my latest favourite find – Bambi & Sammi No.1 hair mask. This tiny but lively pouch of creamy goodness, is the perfect pick me up. In fact, it’s become a vital part of my pre-date night ritual, a little Bambi & Sammi for the hair and The Little Alchemist Cacao and Banana mask for the face.
Who is Bambi & Sammi you ask? It is the creation of two Melbourne natives who after working in the beauty industry for many years, decided they wanted to craft a line of products that provided a salon quality finish without all the nasties.
The facts: why Bambi and Sammi products fit the conscious beauty criteria?
// 100% owned and made in Australia
// Paraben and Sulphate free – the most common of the toxic ingredients in haircare. You can find out why of put them on the ‘list’ here.
// Natural fragrance
// Minimal packaging
So what’s my personal verdict? (the juicy bit)
I have very fine hair so I am super fussy about what I use on my hair. The wrong products can make my hair feel heavy and oily very quickly. Like deodorants, haircare is one of those things I’ve tried a LOT of natural options to find the most suitable for me. I am pleased to report that Bambi & Sammi left my hair feeling nourished and silky smooth. The best part – the natural fragrance from the Shea Butter is divine.
Tip for new players – wash your hair thoroughly twice to ensure all existing products and dirt is removed. Apply the mask to the ends of the hair (not the scalp) and then wrap your head in a warm towel to enhance the benefits of the mask. Leave on for at least 5 minutes.
Ingredient Spotlight: Shea Butter – is the fat extracted from the seeds of the Shea tree and is a particularly important for the hair for several reasons. Shea butter offers sun protection at SPF 6, is anti-inflammatory, highly moisturising and contains Vitamins A and E. It is perfect for sensitive scalps and skin.
Would I indulge again?
Yes! Because it works, it doesn’t cost you, your body or the earth.
Given that my hair is quite fine, each use I only needed a small amount so one pouch is lasting several months.
Bambi & Sammi also donate a portion of their profits to the Reach Foundation who support youth to ‘get the most out of life’ through their workshops which promote resilience and reaching your full potential all while dealing with life’s challenges.
