How to creatively explore a new career without spending a cent

March 27, 2018

Tell me love, when it comes to your next big decision, would you like to feel powerful?

We are certainly not short of options, avenues, paths or lacking freedom as a modern western woman. This is one of the blessings of our time, we can literally create any kind of life we want to.

Sometimes though, this can be our undoing, the share volume of decisions we are confronted with day to day can leave us feeling paralysed when it comes to the big one. If spoken about a few cool ways to negotiate this issue here.

For today, I want to focus zoom the lens in on career related decisions – since I find this is where most women want to start when we work together. And well, I’ve been there too.

Even though this is applied to careers, many of these steps and questions can be used in other areas of your life. For example, you’re planning a move overseas or inter-state and you don’t know how to get started.

One of the many things that controls our decisions around our career is money (in case you didn’t know I love this topic). Money is a wonderful thing, but it can also hinder our progress.

Conflict arises when our thinking becomes bogged down by the cost of further study, potential loss of income from taking a break, stepping backwards in order to go forwards…

Which is why creative thinking is a great tool to master – especially around money.

There will likely be an investment required at some point, but for now the best place to start is knowing you’re ready for a change. Then all you need is a little guidance on getting started – which is where I come in.

So today, I’m going to share four creative ways you can “just start” on your new career or business path without spending a cent.

What we’ll cover in the video:

+ Why you should first take a step back from your current industry and ask yourself  these key questions

+ Why you should connect – including a recent client’s ah-ha moment on this exact thing!

+ Ask yourself is collaboration an option?

+ Finally don’t get stuck on labels, qualifications or details just yet…(I’ve also shared this here)
