Girl Crush – Introducing Charlie de Haas

December 1, 2014

We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Charlie de Haas.

A Conscious Beauty’s thoughts on Charlie:

Well….our crush on Charlie is truly more than skin deep.

After sharing Jolene Hart’s story a few months back, we were surprised to find that Jolene and Charlie had just a little in common. Both committed to wellness a through clean, unlabelled, uncomplicated approach, they also started out in very different side of the beauty world.

Having worked as a fitness model and for many years rising up the ranks of the beauty industry with products like Napolean Perdis, Charlie came to realise that her true passion was not outer beauty but coaching people to wellness. She is all about discovering your own kind of beauty, we all have it, but sometimes we need a little helping hand. That is where Charlie comes in.

We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Tasha Alanah Cortez.

A Conscious Beauty’s thoughts on Tasha:

Yes, this divine goddess has amassed a crazy 40k+ followers on Instagram as @gypsy_wandering, but we’re not here to talk about that.  Rather, we want to show you why this beauty is THE REAL DEAL, authentic and raw. Her feed is bursting with colour, with life and love for the world in which she lives, celebrating her womanly body and beauty that was once blurred by a battle with an eating disorder.

These days she travels the world, from her bases in Byron Bay and Sydney, her creative endeavours include writing, photography, and collaborating with some of the worlds most well-known surfing labels. We are proud to have Tasha join our tribe of beautiful young woman as one of our girl crushes.

Girl Crush – Introducing Cassie Mendoza-Jones

November 17, 2014

CASSIE-102

We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Cassie Mendoza-Jones.

A Conscious Beauty’s thoughts on Cassie:

Well what can we say about Cassie? This radiant beauty has been on our crush list for a long time, inspiring us well before A Conscious Beauty was born. Cassie is undoubtedly a force in the wellness world, who respects the needs and desires of the modern women and what it takes to maintain ‘vitality’ in a busy world.

Cassie’s approach to achieving what she terms ‘body harmony’ is supported by a background in Naturopathy, kinesiology, herbal medicine and nutrition – that’s one talented young lady!

We love absolutely love Cassie’s approach, she is on your team, she has your wellbeing at heart and you just have to read her testimonials to know that she is the real deal. Today we are privileged to add Cassie to our list of amazing ‘girl crushes’.

Breakfast Bowl for Glowing Skin By Kamina Nagel, The Glow Seeker

November 12, 2014

kamina nagal breakfast smoothie

Not too long ago, my mornings looked very different to what they look like today. My alarm would go off at 8am, leaving just enough time to run through the shower, throw on my clothes and grab an Up&Go on the way out the door.

On a good day, I’d settle into to a bowl of 3 Weetbix with milk – not the most inspiring (or nutritious) way to start the day!

Then I discovered something that made me actually want to jump out of bed at 6am: cold-pressed juices and nutrient-packed smoothies. From gorgeous green juices to big beautiful smoothie bowls, I still get excited by the endless flavour sensations I can whip up in my tiny kitchen – all before 8am. And when I started becoming interested in learning about the benefits of the produce I was working with every morning, sharing my love for these liquid creations became one of my biggest passions.

Favourite Finds – Why We’re Loving The Little Alchemist (Part 2)

November 10, 2014

The Little Alchemist

Does an express home facial before a night out sound like you? Or perhaps you might like to spend a Sunday afternoon curled up with a magazine and a face mask?

We couldn’t think of anything more blissful.

After discovering The Little Alchemist we were delighted to bring you the first of our two-part review on her skin cleansing range. Today, we present the second part of our review, in style.

The products have been reviewed in sequence of how we suggest using them to create the ultimate home facial. We suggest incorporating either the Papaya, Geranium & Lime Cleansing Milk or the Wild Apple & Mint Purifying Gel Cleanser to deep-cleanse and remove any make-up before starting your ritual.
